It has a long, pointed bull which is slightly decurved. Thirty-three subspecies are recognised. It is found widely in Europe but is a rare vagrant in the British Isles. It breeds in fields, on open industrial sites, etc. It regarded as being of Least Concern by the IUCN. Sightings
