Description

Family: Pieridae

Wing span: 36 - 44 mm

This species is endemic to Fuerteventura. There are also species on Tenerife (E. eversi) and Gran Canaria (E. grancanariensis). These three are sometimes regarded as sub-species of E. belemia, which is found in Portugal and southern Spain.

It is restricted to Fuerteventura.

It is generally found in scrubby grasslands and open woodland.

There are two overlapping broods, mostly between December and early June.

The larvae feed on Sisymbrium species.
