(© David Hastings) (1/200th sec at f/11) DescriptionFamily: Crambidae (ABH : 63.057) Wing span: 26 - 30mm This moth has a pale yellowish-brown or straw fore-wing, with several oblique, weakly curved or undulating darker cross-lines, and with two dark brown spots just after one-half. It cab be found throughout the British Isles. Habitats are gardens, allotments and waste ground. The flight period is from late April to mid-October in two generations. There is occasionally a third. Larvae feed on various plants in the cabbage family, especially cultivated varieties. It comes to light. Earliest UK sighting: 3rd May ; Latest UK sighting: 24th August Sightings
