Description

Family: Crambidae (ABH : 63.086)

Wing span: 18 - 22mm

The fore-wing is whitish-brown to reddish-brown with greyish or whitish streaks. A narrow white longitudinal streak is interrupted at about two-thirds by an oblique line. The cilia are partially metallic.

It can be found throughout the British Isles.

Habitats are a wide range of grasslands.

The flight period is from May to August.

Larvae feed on grasses.

It is easily disturbed by day, and comes to light.
