Long-tailed Tits (Aegithalidae)
Species
Although related to the true tits, these birds form a distinct group that share Asiatic origins, small size, and long tails that often double their overall length. They have tubby bodies, short, pointed bills and are largely gregarious. Unlike the true tits they build quite elaborate dome-shaped nests, and do not use holes.

There are seven species across Eurasia and into the Nearctic. A single species breeds in Europe.
