Bustards (Otididae)
Species
Bustards are large, heavily built terrestrial birds with long, strong feet. Their wings are long and broad with fingered tips and striking white patterns visible in flight. Their gait is slow and deliberate if undisturbed. They will walk miles while searching for food, but rarely take to the skies in flight.
 
There are three species in Europe.
